Walgreens Shopping Scenarios for the week of 2/10!

Here is KCL's Walgreens shopping scenarios for the week of 2/10! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Walgreens:  Walgreens allows one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per product. You may use Walgreen’s Register Rewards in addition to these coupons.  The Register Rewards print like a Catalina on a little machine near the cash register.  The most important thing to remember when coupon shopping at Walgreens is that you have to have as many items to purchase as you have coupons, including any Register Rewards you want to use.  We often use “filler” (cheap, extra items) so that we have enough items to purchase.

Walgreens is certainly the hardest drugstore to shop, but it has the best deals!  What I like most is that you can repeat the deals and get more product.  The limits are just one per transaction, so you can get more than one item–just don’t clear the shelves!!  Here’s a link to the coupon policy.

These coupons can be printed from your computer after you watch the corresponding videos. You can use each coupon once per Wellness card. Go here for Rite Aid’s updated coupon policy.

As of September 2nd, 2012, +Up Rewards are automatically loaded to your wellness+ card (they will no longer print at the bottom of register receipts.  UNLESS YOU OPT OUT AT THE STORE!). The Crayola Play N Fold Art Studio is perfect for your child in early learning stages. The studio easily converts from a drawing pad to a desk top with a chalk board giving your child the perfect work station so there’s no longer writing on your living room tables. The product is heavy duty plastic making it nearly impossible to destroy even with the most destructible child.
I was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived. Easy to assemble, nice small size for children just starting to write or color. Got one for my granddaughter who is 1 1/2 yrs old and she loved it! Won’t be disappointed!

Couponing Tip: Bring Store Ads with You When You Shop

As a Couponer, you are probably scanning the ads and doing matchups at home every week, but you can benefit even more by taking the store ad with you when you shop!

• Verify sizes and varieties: Most sale items are only valid on certain sizes and flavors/varieties, so you can double check your store ad for specifics. And if you can’t find the correct product, it helps to have the ad when asking an employee for the product location.
• Store coupons: Not sure which store coupons you’ll be using or don’t have time to clip them all? Bringing the ad with you and only clipping those you’ll use can be a time saver.
• Price verification: Store ads are great for double checking prices both in the aisles and at the register. This is especially nice on the first or last day of the sale when sale prices might not all be in the system.
• Rainy day: If a product is out of stock, have the store ad with you to show the cashier so they can write you a rain check for the correct product, including size restrictions, included varieties, and limits.
• Circle it: To make things easier to find while in the store, circle the products and prices of what you want.
• Time shortage: If your schedule is tight and you haven’t had a chance to do coupon matchups, store ads can still help. Grab a copy at the entrance to find the best prices on items like produce, meat, bread, and dairy.
• Price matching: When matching ad prices at supercenters like Target and Walmart, it helps to have the applicable competitor ads with you. Note that the Target policy requires the ad, while the Walmart policy states that you do not have to have the ad with you (but you’ll find it helps to have it just in case!).
