Endorse App Closing (Must Cash out Your Account/Points by June 30th!)

Calling all Endorse users! Although I only posted about Endorse a few times, I know quite a bit of you have used Endorse in the past and/or many of you use Endorse regularly. Yesterday, Endorse announced that the Endorse Service has closed effective June 19, 2013.

If you currently have a cash balance with Endorse, you only have until 6PM PT on Sunday, June 30, 2013 to transfer your Endorse cash to your bank account and redeem your points balances. After June 30, 2013, you will not be able to access your account, contact customer service, or claim your cash balance.

Here’s what you need to do:

* Cash out immediately using PayPal. If you already have a PayPal account, simply open the Endorse app, go to your “Account” screen, tap “Rewards,” make sure your “Payment Settings” are set to “PayPal”, and then enter the email account associated with your PayPal account. Tap “Cash Out” and your money will be transferred immediately. If you don’t have a PayPal account, simply click on the link to begin the sign up process. You will need to use PayPal- they cannot send you a physical check for your balance.
* If you have more than 500 points, you can exchange them for DonorsChoose donation(s). Simply tap “Redeem” to get your gift codes emailed to you. If you do not have 500 points in your account, you do not need to do anything as the points will terminate. Your account will be deleted and your personally identifiable data will be removed.

New Endorse App for Android and iPhone, iPad, and iPod users. (It is similar to Ibotta)

There is a new app out called Endorse. This app works very similar to Ibotta with a few exceptions.

I am excited about this app because you can upload every receipt even if there are no offers available and you will get 5 points. Once you get 50 points $5.00 will be donated to your local schools. You can also get cash back for as many items as you buy that matches the offer but they have to be done in one transaction and all on the same receipt.

The downsides that I see is that you only have a week to do the offers before you get new ones and your cash back will be after all coupons and store discounts are applied. There is more detail on this at the bottom of the post in their FAQ section.

And then in early 2012, Endorse suspended its program to make some changes to benefit all of its users. I am writing to let you know that the Endorse team is hard at work on the new and improved version of the service.

Specifically, we are focused on making it much easier for you to discover and to endorse your favorite products, to get special rewards for staying loyal to your endorsements, to share offers with your friends, to access your endorsements while you are shopping in stores, and to get your rewards as fast as humanly possible with e-pop.

 

In order for us to focus on building the new product while continuing to provide a high-quality service to our current customers, we are going to go into a closed Beta period.  As a result, Endorse will not be available for new sign ups until we relaunch the site in early 2012.

 

What Does This Mean To You?

• If you are already using Endorse, you can continue to endorse, pop, get new mailers, and earn rewards as you have been.  If you have followers for your endorsements, those will continue as well.
• The one change for current users is that you will no longer be able to share Endorse and new endorsements with your friends to earn followers.  We've realized the current “5 and FREE” follower model is too difficult for you to earn rewards and so we are fixing it.
• If you have not yet joined Endorse and you come to our home page, you can enter your email address and we will notify you when we relaunch.
