Walgreens: Shopping Scenarios #2 for the week of 2/19: Its All Free!

Here’s WildforWags' Walgreens Shopping Scenario for 2/19. To see the other scenarios I posted, click here. In this scenario you’ll get $25.37 in merchandise, spend $7.37 out of pocket and end up with $2 in Register Rewards, and an additional $6.99 from the Just For Men Rebate. So after the Register Reward and the rebate everything is FREE and you make $1.62. If you have a Register Reward from a previous week use it to pay in the first Transaction to keep your out of pocket low.

Walgreens allows one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per product. You may use Walgreen’s Register Rewards in addition to these coupons. The Register Rewards print like a Catalina on a little machine near the cash register. The most important thing to remember when coupon shopping at Walgreens is that you have to have as many items to purchase as you have coupons, including any Register Rewards you want to use. We often use “filler” (cheap, extra items) so that we have enough items to purchase.

CVS: Scenarios for the Weekly Ad of 2/19/2012

Below are deal scenarios for the CVS ad for the week of 2/19 for shoppers just starting their CVS shopping adventure or who do not have any or many extra bucks on hand and do not want to spend much cash. There are scenarios for $5 out of pocket cash and $10 out of pocket cash.

You can save the extra bucks left from the last transaction for next week’s extra buck deals and have even less out of pocket, or you could use them towards some of the CVS deals this week or other sale items.

Rite Aid Scenarios for the week of 2/19/12!

Go here to see all the Rite Aid deals for the week. There are reports circulating that per Rite Aid’s new policy, +up rewards may not be redeemed until the following day after they are earned. If this is the case, multiple transactions will have to be on different days. I've found my store doesn't mind however your store may be different....just keep that in mind.

Recall - Infant Tylenol Recall!

McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. (“McNeil”), is voluntarily recalling, at the wholesale and retail levels, seven lots, approximately 574,000 bottles, of Infants' TYLENOL® Oral Suspension, 1 oz. Grape distributed nationwide in the United States (see full product list below). Infants' TYLENOL® is an over-the-counter (OTC) product indicated as a pain reliever/fever reducer.

McNeil is initiating this voluntary recall as a precaution after receiving a small number of complaints from consumers who reported difficulty using the Infants' TYLENOL® SimpleMeasure™ dosing system. SimpleMeasure™ includes a dosing syringe, which a parent or caregiver inserts into a protective cover, or “flow restrictor,” at the top of the bottle to measure the proper dose. In some cases, the flow restrictor was pushed into the bottle when inserting the syringe. Children's TYLENOL® products are intended for children two years of age and older and remain available.

No adverse events associated with this action have been reported to date and the risk of a serious adverse medical event is remote. Consumers can continue to use Infants' TYLENOL® provided the flow restrictor at the top of the bottle remains in place. The company discussed how to use the product's dosing system in a separate message to consumers also issued today.

If the flow restrictor is pushed into the bottle, the parent or caregiver should not use the product. Consumers can request a refund by visiting TYLENOL® - The official website for all TYLENOL® products or contacting McNeil at 1-888-222-6036 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time; Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time). Walmart: Tylenol Precise price change to $5.47!?

As you know, prices usually vary greatly from region to region and from store to store for that matter. I Heart The Mart noticed that the Tylenol Precise is actually cheaper at his store now than it was last fall. He said it is priced at only $5.47. Don't forget we may be getting a $5 off coupon this weekend in the Red Plum. These will be $.47 at Walmart OR you can price match them to Walgreens starting Sunday (2/19) and they are FREE!

My CVS shopping trip from 2/17!

I stopped by CVS yesterday to finish up getting a few items for this weeks gift card deal. I know there is a thing or two missing from the picture (some socks for my dad and some candy....
