Well, as most of you know, 9/16, is the start of the new Walgreens Balance Rewards Program! Please head here to read all about it. Keep in mind that I am just as confused as you are regarding lots of the details… like whether or not the manufacturer’s coupons being used will deduct from the purchase amount needed to get certain rewards or if we’ll be able to get multiple rewards back on the same items purchased?! I am planning to test deals on Sunday to really get a handle on this new Rewards program. Hopefully I’ll have a lot more info for you come Monday.

Also, did you know that you could also print your Extra Care Bucks online (will print same ones as in store)? Walgreens: More Details on the New Balance Rewards Program (Begins 9/16 In-Store & Online)

As I have mentioned before, starting tomorrow, September 16th, Walgreens will be rolling out a brand new rewards program called Balance Rewards! You can enroll in-store, online or via the mobile app and begin earning points and special savings, and start redeeming rewards starting this Sunday, 9/16.

You can see my post introducing this new program here, and I wanted to give you more details on what to expect before you head out to do your Walgreens shopping once the new program has gone into effect.

Earning Points

Balance Rewards Members will earn points with the purchase of specified products and/or services during specified promotions periods. Online orders delivered to your home will earn points as if purchased in store. Online orders picked up in store will earn points after the items have been picked up from the store. Points will be awarded to the Member’s account 3-5 days after purchase. Members can also earn points for making healthy choices, such as getting an immunization or participating in Walk with Walgreens (walk.walgreens.com).
