Michael’s Wedding Story Contest: Win $5,000 Grand Prize for your unique story!

Here are some more details on what they’re looking for in your story:

A panel of judges composed of Jean M employees will select 20 semi-finalist entries. On or around April 15th, 2013, a panel of judges composed of Jean M employees and Michaels employees will select the Grand Prize Winner. The criteria the judges will use to determine the winners from all Eligible Entries will include, but is not limited to: (1) Uniqueness of the Participant’s wedding details, including the location, the decorations, the ceremony, etc. – 28%; (2) Creativity of the wedding proposal – 28%; (3) Photogenic qualities of the bride and groom’s entry photograph – 16%; (4) A bride who fits the definition of a “Jean M Bride” – 28%. A “Jean M Bride” is defined as a bride who wants and plans her wedding to be a creative and unique expression of who she is.

The Grand Prize winner will receive the following prize package:

• MiDesign@Michaels™ Custom Invites products and services (up to a $2000 value). The products and services must include wedding invitations and other such things as wedding stationery and wedding accessories.
• Personal consultation with Jean M to select wedding products and services;
• Round trip-airfare for two adults to Dallas, Texas, and three days, two nights meals and lodging;
• $500 Michaels gift card to spend on custom framing products and services;
• $500 Michaels gift card to spend on custom floral products and services;
• One 12″ by 12″ 20 page hardcover wedding guest book, one 12″ by 12″ hardcover wedding album and one 24″ by 24″ wedding canvas from MiDesign@Michaels™ Photo Creations;
• Photographs and/or video clips of the Grand Prize Winner’s wedding will be featured on the MiDesign@Michaels™ Custom Invites website.
