These are my favorite way to start coals. Just need one (or two if lighting the whole kettle) under a pile of coals. Light with long wooden match from underneath. 20 minutes later your coals are ready to spread out, and they don’t smell like chemicals or gases! RECOMMEND HIGHLY.These work like a dream. No smell. They light right away. I’ll never go back to lighter fluid. Only one or two is needed, so we really only need a pack or two of these all summer!
I used two of these in my Weber Chimney Starter and the results were much improved over using newspaper, the smoke was much cleaner along with I had no leftover newspaper ash to deal with. Easy to light and little hassle, will be sticking with these from now on.
